School budget cuts

The schools all over the US have had recent budget cuts and decreased annual teacher salaries. It is mostly seen in California. Having budget cuts would mean that the schools don't have money for proper education, thousands of teachers would lose their job, class sizes would increase making learning difficult, and schools wouldn't be able to buy necessities such as paper, pencils, food, and desks. In protest, teachers wear pink Hawaiian necklaces. These teachers aren't going to give up their hard-earned careers.
This connects to what we are learning in class by relating to the Whiskey Rebellion. The Whiskey Rebellion was a result of the National Treasury being completely empty. The new government needed tax money to pay for war and the country's needs. Congress argued about what to tax and how much and they finally came to the conclusion of taxing whiskey and other "luxury" goods. Farmers protested, saying that the tax made their whiskey too expensive and they refused to pay for it. Even a gang of men who called themselves "The Whiskey Boys" tarred and feathered tax collectors.
This connects to my own life because if good teacher's jobs are at stake then so is my education. This problem has a spiral effect. If good, educated teachers lose their job then they can't teach and make money. If they can't teach then bad teachers will teach the class with a low salary. While giving those bad teachers a low salary, the school will make class sizes bigger and school days longer with even more homework. When stressed out kids need help with all that extra homework they wont get the real help they need from the new, uneducated, and low-paid teachers.
In my opinion, this is a huge issue that needs to be dealt with immediately. The end of school is near and next year, thousands upon thousands of teachers will be jobless, schools will be shut down, and kids won't get the good education that they work hard for every day.
